Licensed Therapist
Job Description
Hiring for a Licensed Therapist in Kendall. Applicant will need to see clients either in-person or online, based on client needs. Looking for a candidate with the ability to at least see clients on two different days, afternoons, to accomodate for school-aged population. This is a Fee-for-Service position. Newly Licensed candidates are welcome to apply!
Requirements
- Deliver high-quality direct therapeutic services to clients.
- Applicants must be licensed to practice in the State of Florida.
- Applicants who are bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health records is preferred but not required.
- This is a Hybrid position. Applicant MUST be able to see clients in the office and via telehealth.
-As a clinician, you will have the opportunity to provide individual, couples, and family therapy to a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients to address their mental health concerns and provide appropriate interventions.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and enhance therapeutic outcomes.
- Assess clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans based on their specific goals and challenges.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help clients achieve positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as social workers and medical professionals, to provide comprehensive care to clients.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of mental health counseling and attend relevant training or workshops.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field with the ability to offer individual, family, and group therapy.
- Valid licensure or certification as a therapist (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor).
- Proficiency in using ICD-10 codes for diagnostic purposes and insurance billing.
- Strong knowledge of mental health counseling theories and techniques.
- Experience in different client populations, such as children, teens, and adults.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health conditions and treatments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and complete necessary documentation.
